A week ago I posted this amazing result that BK got by doing this 1 atomic habit. You can read more here. By now you would know that this atomic habit that I am referring to is journaling. And you probably be wondering “What can journaling do to create RM 30,000 extra for BK?”
Would you like me to share what I share with BK during our PRIME Coaching session? Here goes.
To give you the context, BK was struggling, as he needed more time in a day. Literally, 24 hours was not enough for him. If 1 day has 48 hours, he would be a very happy man (but not for us, 😆)
So I needed a way to show him how to slow down time. Don’t get me wrong. I am not Dr Strange. But I have been using a method for the past 3.5 years and it has worked wonders for me.
That is how I grew J Advisory exponentially over the last 2 years. And that was how I manage to create RM 6K-RM7K monthly income in a span of 2 months recently in June – July 2022.
I challenged BK to a 21 days Journaling Challenge. The challenge was simple, he had to send to me his journal over a period of 21 days over Whatsapp. If he miss any day, he had to buy me coffee. Of course, I would reward him with a prize for completing his 21 days challenge.
The thing I like about BK is his simple-mindedness. Not a negative trait that you are thinking about. But more of a positive trait, someone who takes instruction without overanalyzing it. Keep it simple.
And guess what? To my surprise, on Day 8 he sent me this picture on Whatsapp.
I was so happy and surprise that he got this RM 30,000 cheque. He thank me so many times and mention how grateful he was. Of course, I wouldn’t claim 100% of the credit. He did his part as well. You see, BK had slowed down time from a point of view of
Don’t we all agree that we never took time to reflect on our day (at the end of the day or in the morning the next day), as we are always chasing for time?
The best reply I love from BK was “I didn’t realize how much I took the bus driver for granted. It was after I started journaling that I took the time to thank him for getting me safely from point A to point B” You see BK is very hardworking. He works 3.5 days in Singapore as a physiotherapist and another 3.5 days as a property investor/negotiator in Johor.
How he got his cheque was by adding value to his client (both the tenant and the owner) by helping them solve their issue. For example, helping the tenant to negotiate the 2 years rental non-payment to only 2 months. Also helping the owner to continue to secure this tenant in the tough Johor property market.
I’m sure by this time, you will be very curious about how can I practise this and what are the questions I ask BK. Let me share with you the 5 questions I posed BK during his 21 days challenge.
Q1) What are the 3 things you are grateful for yesterday? (if you do this in the morning)
Q2) What is the 1 thing I did well yesterday?
Q3) What is the 1 thing I need to improve on?
Q4) What are the top 3 things I need to focus on today?
I encourage you to do this 21 days Journaling Challenge if you like to get a similar breakthrough like BK. In fact, I know you are keen to do this challenge if you have noticed I only share with you 4 questions instead of 5. Send me an email “Challenge Accepted” (kahoe@jadvisory.asia) with your intention to start and I will share with you the 5th question which is the most powerful question of all.
